Reignite your relationship or your marriage!
The world runs on relationships, yet ironically, many people feel inadequate in their relationship skills.
A romantic partnership is arguably the most significant connection that you can make. It often can be the most wonderful, amazing, supportive, enjoyable, awful, terrible, challenging, heart-wrenching relationship one can have. Filled with complexity and nuances, learning how to build and maintain a satisfying marriage or partnership poses unique challenges.
Fortunately, I am trained to help you navigate your relationship journey. Working either one to one, or with both you and your partner, I can individualise and tailor a programme that suits you. I have a flexible session structure, which means that we can work together for a block of 4-12 sessions, or work on an “as needed” basis. You and your partner or just one of you can work with me for 4 or 12 sessions or on an as needed basis.
Relationship/Marriage coaching is a professional, client-focused service. Bridgette takes the stance that the individual or couple is assumed to be healthy, powerful, and able to achieve relationship goals if provided with effective support, information, and guidance from her.
Bridgette specialises in working with blended families as it is rewarding and at the same time challenging to be in such a family. Recovering from divorce/de facto relationships and re-partnering or remarrying is the norm these days. However for adults and children alike it comes with struggles – the struggle to find support, resources, education and understanding. Bridgette will assist you to focus on many areas including parenting, step-parenting, co-parenting and parallel parenting with exes, finances, second marriages/relationships, the stress, worry and fear that comes from being in such a family and more.
Bridgette and her team also work with both singles and couples of all relationship preferences. Whether it be singles who are temporarily single or recently divorced or widowed. Couples who are dating, in pre committed/exclusive partnerships or, premarital couples or committed partners.
Coaching Versus Counselling
What’s the difference?
Couples often ask: “coaching versus counselling, what’s the difference?” That’s a great question, coaching focuses on the present and moving forward with your coach as facilitator. With this type of professional guidance, you will learn to better understand one another and discover solutions for your specific issues together.
Coaches help couples move from where they are, to where they want to be. and recognise that each marriage is different. Coaches will not tell you what to do, but will help you figure out what will work best for you as a couple. Perhaps most importantly, a coach will recognise that every relationship is different; we don’t take a “one size fits all” approach.
Bridgette calls your first session, the “discovery session,” and it is a great way to determine if coaching is right for you and/or your partner. If coaching is not the right fit, we can provide various referrals including counselling and /support resources to help you to get your marriage/relationship back on track as soon as possible
